Σύμη: Τουρίστρια καταγγέλλει την κακοποίηση σκυλιών που βρήκε δεμένα χωρίς νερό/τροφή – Θα μεριμνήσουν οι αρχές; (βίντεο)

Την Εισαγγελία Πρωτοδικών Ρόδου ενημέρωσε στις 22 Ιουνίου το www.zoosos.gr καθώς τουρίστρια επικοινώνησε μαζί μας ζητώντας βοήθεια για δύο σκυλιά που βρήκε αλυσοδεμένα χωρίς τροφή και νερό στο νησί της Σύμης.

Η Lili Thiesen, αυτόπτης μάρτυρας, κάτοικος Γερμανίας, μαζί τον σύζυγο της βρήκαν τυχαία τα ζώα και στην επιστολή της μας επισήμανε ότι κατά τη διάρκεια των διακοπών τους στο νησί εντόπισαν τα αλυσοδεμένα σκυλιά (έναντι της στρατιωτικής περιοχής πίσω από έναν κατεστραμμένο ανεμόμυλο) και όσες μέρες παρέμεναν εκεί πήγαιναν να τα ταΐσουν και να τους βάλουν νερό καθώς αυτά τα πλάσματα ήταν εξαιρετικά διψασμένα και εμφανώς υποσιτισμένα.

Σύμφωνα με την τουρίστρια, που ζήτησε και τη βοήθεια αστυνομικών καθώς τυχαία βρήκαν ένα περιπολικό, ο γεωργός, ιδιοκτήτης των ζώων – όταν κάτοικος του νησιού τον εντόπισε – ισχυρίστηκε ότι έσωσε τα σκυλιά και ότι τα ταΐζει κάθε πρωί. Όμως η αυτόπτης μάρτυρας αμφιβάλλει για το αν τα ζώα πράγματι έχουν πρόσβαση σε νερό και τροφή - τόσο συχνά - καθώς όσες μέρες πήγαιναν εκεί δεν βρήκαν ποτέ τροφή και νερό στα δοχεία και κυριολεκτικά τα σκυλιά έπιναν λίτρα για να ξεδιψάσουν.

«Hello, this is Lili from Germany. Lisa from Skyros Stray Cats reccomended me to contact you. When I was for holiday on Symi I found coincidencly two chained dogs behind an old tower. Me and my husband visited them all week and they never had an airdrop of water and were every time terrible hungry. We brought all to them and realized that they might be abandoned because there was no sign that someone had been there recently and they are both so skinny. Also our Letter to the owner never had been read.

On the way back we stopped a police car and told them about the case. They promised to take a Look, but several days later we found the situation of the dogs unchanged and got the impression that they had not act at all. Now we are quite desperate, because we had to leave Symi two days ago and we gave them a lot of food and water, but I guess it wont last longer until today.

The petshop owner on the Island is willing to help and asking around at the Moment who the dogs belong to but so far no news and we are scared too much time will pass because no animal can survive long without water.

We can describe and send on google the exact location and have videos to prove how thirsty and hungry they were everytime. Also I heard its illegal in Greece to keep dogs on chain. Is there any way you could help me with the situation? Someone of your organisation on Symi who could bring them water and food at least? I am also willing to support financially and try to find a fosters place.

The petshop owner on the Island Symi, who cares there a lot about the streetcats, could find the owner of the dogs. It is a Farmer and he said that he rescued the dogs by himself and that he cares about animals and is feeding them every early morning. To be honest me and my husband doubt a bit about it because each time we visited the dogs around Lunch time they were so thirsty and drinking almost two litres and also very hungry. And also we heard that its not allowed to keep dogs on chain all the time in Greece. The petshop owner still wanted to have a talk about the situation with the Farmer and asking about the possibility of Adoption. He also took care that the dogs had food
