Αντιμέτωποι με τη σχεδόν αδιάφορη στάση της Αστυνομίας ήρθαν τουρίστες που προσπάθησαν με κάθε τρόπο να καταγγείλουν την κακοποίηση σκυλιών, τα οποία εντόπισαν έγκλειστα σε βρώμικα κλουβιά γεμάτα κόπρανα κοντά στο χωριό Διονυσίου Χαλκιδικής. Τα ζώα ήταν για μέρες χωρίς νερό και τροφή.
Όπως μπορείτε να δείτε τα ζώα δεν έχουν νερό είναι μέσα σε αυτά τα κλειδιά κλειδωμένα και το ένα από τα σκυλιά είναι και αλυσοδεμένο εντός του κλουβιού..
Πήγαν πολλές φορές στο Αστυνομικό Τμήμα των Μουδανιών και πήραν αμέτρητες φορές τηλέφωνο χωρίς ουσιαστικό αποτέλεσμα γι’ αυτό και επικοινώνησαν και με τη Χριστιάνα Καραθανάση, γνωστή για τη φιλοζωική της δράση στον νομό Θεσσαλονίκη.
Μέλημα των αστυνομικών, όπως επισημαίνουν, ήταν κυρίως αν αυτός που έχει αυτά τα ζώα έχει χαρτιά και όχι αν αυτά τα σκυλιά πράγματι κακοποιούνται αφού είναι χωρίς τροφή και νερό για μέρες.
Τα ζώα έγκλειστα χωρίς νερό σε αυτά τα άθλια κλουβιά πίσω από ένα σπίτι...
«Ήρθαν για διακοπές στην χώρα μας και κατέληξαν να περάσουν τις μέρες τους σε επισκέψεις στο Αστυνομικό Τμήμα των Νέων Μουδανιων σοκαρισμένοι από τις φρικτές συνθήκες που κάποιος κρατάει τς τρία του σκυλιά κλεισμένα σε κλουβιά περίπου ενάμιση μέτρο και το ένα αλυσοδεμένο μέσα στο κλουβί
Χωρίς φαγητό και νερό στις μέρες που οι φίλοι ήταν στην περιοχή !!!!!!!!» επισημαίνει η κα Καραθανάση με ανάρτηση της στο facebook.
Στις 29 Μαΐου η Mandy Lord επισήμανε τα εξής με ανάρτηση της στο facebook:
“Animal Welfare in Dionysiou, Halkidiki, Greece
These 3 dogs are locked in this cage for 24 hours a day, one of them is also chained, and they do not have food or water. We have been here for a week and have done the best we can to provide food and water for them, we fly home tomorrow, what will happen to the dogs then?
What should we do? Call the police? Call the Municipality? Yes! We tried that already and still the dogs are there with no food and no water.
We called the police (100), nobody came to see the dogs. We went to the police station to make a report, nobody came to see the dogs. We called the police emergency number (112) and they eventually sent a police car to check the dogs but nothing has changed. We have visited the police station in person 4 times now and asked several times for a copy of the report we made but they refused to give us this and eventually told us to leave. They have said that they will update Xristiana when their “investigation” is complete but we are sure that when we leave tomorrow our complaint will be forgotten about. The police are only concerned if the owner has paperwork for the dogs, the fact that they are caged / chained and have no food or water seems to be irrelevant.
We have spent 2 full days trying to get help for these dogs but nothing has changed. Xristiana has spoken to the municipality but they cannot help because these are owned dogs. I have emailed the police and the government department for animal welfare and neither have replied.
So we have to leave here tomorrow and leave the dogs to their fate. We feel that we have done everything we can but it is clearly not enough
How do I feel? Angry, upset, heartbroken but most of all disillusioned that despite the new laws for animal welfare in Greece nothing has changed, things like this are still happening and nobody seems to care
